Tomb Raider: Environment Look Development

Two sequences in the recent Tomb Raider film, where I was responsible for all aspects of texture and look development (excluding Lara). This work was completed during employment at Rising Sun Pictures.

This was still, to date, my favourite show to be a part of! It was a huge responsibility and I'm so thankful to the RSP team for giving me a decent chunk of work I can really be proud of.

Substance Painter was a huge help for this environment - it allowed me to quickly iterate on a ton of assets using variations of the same material. I topped a few things up in Mari (the fine details in the pillars/statues).

One rock material was used throughout this environment.

Assets had to be textured with full collapse and destruction in mind. Tillable materials were created and assigned to inside faces.
