The Boys Season Two: Building Texture and Lookdev

So excited to finally share my work from The Boys, Season Two (Amazon Prime)

I was responsible for the texture and lookdev of the building, which is entirely 3D.
This was an especially challenging piece. A few of the challenges included matching the colours of the brick exactly (red from a distance, but so many different hues of yellow and blue at the micro level!), providing enough detail to render at 4k, and ensuring everything could be blown up!

I decided that the best approach, therefore, was mostly procedural. I generated tillable textures in substance, and reconstructed the look within shader. This allowed for much more detail, precise control over colours and less back and forth with texture. I utilised random brick ID maps to help distribute the brick colours and provide natural variation/breakup.
